Principles behind MVHR PLUS

There can be a large variance in the air temperature between the south elevation of a home and the shaded cooler north. MVHR PLUS takes advantage of this passive principle.

Temperature differences occur across different orientations or elevations of a building. Several factors contribute to this variance, including solar exposure, wind patterns, shading, building materials, and surrounding structures. In traditional MVHR installations the main supply and extract vents are positioned on the same elevation of a building. Although consideration of the environmental factors is taken into account when deciding which elevation to put the supply and extract vents on, there is always a compromise that has to be made.
