MVHR PLUS is a new patented technology which increases the efficiency of MVHR and helps to improve the quality of the indoor environment. MVHR PLUS works using Passive principles and in it’s simplest description, we believe it’s how all MVHR should work.

There can be a large variance in the air temperature between the south elevation of a home and the shaded cooler north. MVHR PLUS takes advantage of this passive principle.

MVHR PLUS connects an MVHR system to two vents. One vent is on the south elevation of a home and the second vent is on the shaded cooler north elevation and MVHR PLUS dynamically changes where the fresh air to the house is supplied from and exhausted to.

When heating is required MVHR PLUS brings air in from the south vent and extract air, after passing through the heat recovery unit, is past through the north vent.

When the house is in cooling mode MVHR PLUS reverses the flow and brings air in from the cooler north vent and extract air, after by-passing the heat recovery unit, is exhausted through the south vent.

MVHR PLUS works dynamically, changing the direction of flow in line with outdoor conditions, always bringing in clean fresh air from the most appropriate location.

In a study conducted by Brunel University London using MVHR PLUS reduced heating energy demand by up to 58% when compared to using MVHR alone.

In a same study MVHR PLUS increased cooling energy provided by up to 197% when compared to using MVHR alone.
